Leighton Meester News

A while ago, Leighton auditioned for a remake of Beauty and the Beast called Beastly. A source tells E! that she really wanted to do it, but they were trying to think of a way that she could a) Record her album, b) Shoot Gossip Girl, 3)And shoot The Roommate.

But I just found out that Vanessa Hudgens got the part, instead of her. I don’t have nothing against Vanessa – actually, I like her a lot. But I don’t think she is more talented than Leighton, NO WAY. So, maybe Leighton didn’t have time and that’s why V got the part. Oh, please, let it be it. Anyway. That’s sad. The movie is probably gonna be super cute. I really wanted to see Leighton in it.

Oh, well. We just have to wait until the premiere of The Roommate and Date Night.

Leighton says she is always the adult of the group, even when her friends are running wild.

She explains, “I am mature for my age. I guess I grew up fast. But it has helped me. I’ve got my head straight on my shoulders because of that.”

If you read the “Vougue” edition with the Gossip Girl cast on cover, you know that her childhood may have ‘helped’. It seemed hard.

So, we’re proud of her, aren’t we ?

Who would tell Leighton Meester had a tattoo ? And it’s like a friendship tattoo.

“This was years ago before Gossip Girl, and my best friend Jess Manaford wrote and directed me in a movie called Remember The Days,” she tells OK! Magazine. “She’s got a lucky star, so I was saying one day that I really wanted to have a tattoo. At the end of the movie, I was so excited that we were finishing and I was also really sad because it was the best movie experience I’ve ever had. We were in North Carolina — so close — made friends for life. We became so close so we got tattoos.”

It is a beach on her wrist. She also says it didn’t hurt.

The Gossip Girl people make a good job. I never got a clue that she had this tattoo.
